The Graziadio School of Business & Management will host three visiting faculty from the Warsaw School of Economics-SGH in Poland between August 2011 to February 2012. See below to learn more about our distinguished guests:
Krysiak is the author of more than 70 academic publications concerning finance, risk management, financial engineering, and banking. His current research is on the use of options for assessing credit and insolvency risk and as well for corporate valuation. He earned his PhD in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics, holds an MBA from Warsaw University, and he also holds a master’s degree in Banking and Financial Engineering from University in Toulouse in France. He plays an active part in economic life in Poland. The functions he has held include that of management board member of Bank Guarantee Fund (2009), managing director of the Property Finance Section at PKO Bank of Poland (2000-2003), advisor to the President of PKO BP (2003-2007), vice-president of the Management Board of Inteligo Bank(2003-2005), vice-president of AIG Bank Polska (1999-2000), and member of the Supervisory Board of insurance company TU Europa. Zaborek specializes in market research, both qualitative and quantitative, business plans and project management. He has a PhD in Economics and completed his doctoral dissertation on the topic of “The impact of Internet technologies on efficiency of Polish manufacturing companies.” In the years 1999-2009, he gathered ample experience in consulting area by conducting more than 50 market and management science research studies and several dozen investment and educational projects co-financed from European Union structural funds. A significant part of the above-mentioned projects focused on developing comprehensive business plans and feasibility studies for investment proposals of small and middle-sized companies. Suszynski specializes in strategic management, restructuring, merger and division of companies, and value creation. He has authored over 100 papers and scientific publications on topics including restructuring, consolidation, globalization of companies, value management (collective work edited by CS). In addition to research work, Suszynski actively participates in business practice, performing the functions of the supervisory boards of companies, as well as acting as a consultant-advisor (such as the privatization of enterprises, introduction of companies on the WSE, the preparation of prospectuses, etc.).
