Vandana (Ana) Mangal, PhD
At the Pepperdine Graziadio Business School (PGBS), Dr Vandana Mangal is involved in the creation of a vision and strategy for preparing MBAs to manage and lead in the era of digital disruption and digital transformation. With emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence that are changing industry sectors, organizational structures and business processes, to stay relevant in the workforce, one needs to understand these technologies. She is co-leading the initiative to bring these AI technologies including data, IoT and blockchain, into the MBA curriculum at PGBS. Dr Mangal brings her experience as the Executive Director of the Easton Technology Management Center at UCLA Anderson, where she was instrumental in starting and growing the emerging technologies curriculum which led to technology becoming the largest sector for placement of Anderson MBAs. It also brought visibility to Anderson as a technology leader for MBA education ranking Anderson #4 in tech careers for MBAs by Business Insights this year. Through her research on the BIT project at UCLA Anderson, she has published four books, papers and articles. Dr Mangal speaks at conferences and forums on emerging technology related topics including AI for education preparing the workforce of the future, disruption in the transportation sector with technology deployment, and, women in technology. Her PhD is from Carnegie Mellon University and she has worked at AE Business Solutions (consulting) and Intel Corp before joining UCLA Anderson.
