In this article, the authors report findings on changes in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac’s mortgage loan quality by analyzing over 15 million loans from 2001-2015.
Dongshin Kim, PhD
, is an Assistant Professor of Real Estate at Pepperdine University. He earned a BS in Engineering and an MS in Finance from Seoul National University. He also received an MS and a PhD in Real Estate from Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University. Dr. Kim’s research work has appeared in premier real estate journals including Real Estate Economics and Journal of Real Estate Research. Dr. Kim has over nine years work experience in industry. He has worked as a senior software engineer with a start-up venture software company. He also worked for a real estate development company where he managed development projects and real estate investment trusts.
