Dillard Tinsley, PhD, is Regents Professor of Marketing in the department of management, marketing, and international business at Stephen F. Austin State University. After earning a BS in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University, he worked for 10 years in the aerospace industry for LTV and Hughes Aircraft. He earned a BA in economics from the University of Texas at Arlington and a PhD in marketing from Texas Tech University before joining Stephen F. Austin State University in 1973. In 1979, he was named a Mitchell Prize Laureate for a paper on sustainable business practices. He has published more than 50 articles in journals and magazines, including Business Horizons, Industrial Marketing Management, The Journal of Business Strategy, Business and Society, Marketing Research, Personnel, Journal of Small Business Strategy, and Journal of Small Business Management, where he served on the Editorial Advisory Board.
